Washington, DC, March 26, 2019-Jordan IP Law, LLC is proud to announce the addition of Jennifer M. Hayes as a Principal in JIPL’s Patent Group. Jennifer joins JIPL from a globally-recognized Intellectual Property boutique law firm in Washington, D.C., where she was a Partner in the Patent Prosecution Group.
“Jennifer brings a wealth and depth of knowledge, experience, and skill to our team, particularly in the chemical, biotech, pharmaceutical, and material science arts,” said Todd A. Vaughn, a principal of JIPL. “Her addition will significantly enhance our patent prosecution expertise in this tech areas."
Ms. Hayes, who will head JIPL’s Chemistry/Biotechnology/Pharmaceutical Group, will focus her practice on all aspects of patent law, with an emphasis on prosecution, portfolio management, counseling, and opinions. She has extensive experience in a wide array of technology areas, including small molecule drugs, pharmaceutical formulations, compositions and methods of treatment, chemical compounds and compositions, yeast and fermentation, baked food products, extracts, cosmetics, fragrances, polymer compounds, compositions, synthesis and methods of use, multi-layered plastic materials and methods of making and using the same, molded articles, stock and packaging materials, magnetic recording media, fuel cells and batteries, and synthetic turf.
Before entering private practice, Jennifer was a Patent Examiner at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, where she evaluated patent applications for patentability in the Chemicals and Materials Arts. She also served the USPTO as a Petitions Attorney in the Office of Petitions.
